Biggest Loser WMOH 1450 The Ticket
Spring Training Edition

WMOH 1450 The Ticket begins Phase 2 of our version of the Biggest Loser contest. Contestants will renew their journey of weight loss and fitness with pride and health as the prize. With pitchers and catchers reporting to Training Camp in February and Opening Day just around the corner, this Phase will coordinate with baseball, with Final Weigh In on April 6 just before the first pitch at Great American Ballpark.  On air personalities Chris Theiss and Steve Vaughn along with Morning Show producer Scott Wilson and Morning Show friend Ray Bull will now welcome two more contestants: "Ticket" Program Director Bill Douglas and HSGN color analyst  Joe Geckler, to dedicate themselves to a life of dieting and fitness training to find the 1450 The Ticket "Biggest Loser". New twists for Phase 2 include: Team competition and weekly weigh-in every Thursday calculating percentage of weight loss not pounds. You can follow their progress and hear their stories weekday mornings 6am to 9am.

Contestants are:
Team #1

Chris Theiss - Morning Show Co-Host: 5'9", 170 lbs
Ray Bull - Morning Show Friend: 6'", 258 lbs

Theiss checks in at the lightest weight of the contestants but has a strong will and desire to win. He will benefit from his wife, Susan, who knows a thing or two about weight loss and keeping it off. Theiss will use the Weight Watchers program and weight training to reach his goals, which include: 32" waist, less than 10% body fat and making sure he looks great in a Speedo at the pool parties this summer at the Flynn's.............Bull is a former high school football star from Fairfield. A member of the 1986 State Champions, Bull likes to share with everyone he meets his exploits that season and what could have been, earning the nick name "Uncle Rico" (How much you wanna make a bet I can throw a football over them mountains?... Yeah... Coach woulda put me in the fourth quarter, we would've been state champions again. No doubt. No doubt in my mind.....from Napolean Dynamite). Bulls goals are to get back to his high school playing weight or at least within 15 pounds and fit into that State Championship jacket.........comfortably!

Team #2   *The Biggest Loser Spring Training Edition - Teams WINNERS*

Scott Wilson - Morning Show Producer: 5'10", 239 lbs (The Biggest Loser - Phase One)
Steve Vaughn - Morning Show Co-Host: 6'6", 306 lbs
Wilson is the youngest of the contestants which could be a major advantage for the former gridiron great from Liberty Township. Wilson does have the toughest challenge of all the participants, when he is not keeping Theiss and Vaughn in check in the mornings, he works at a Buffalo wings restaurant. Temptation could be great! Wilson earned the Phase 1 Biggest Loser crown by dropping better than 11 lbs for a 4.4% loss..........Vaughn started Phase 1 dominating only to fizzle down the stretch. Vaughn was once a star himself while attending Hamilton High back in the early 80's. This "Baby Boomer" was a standout member of the HHS marching band. He know lives his life through his athletic son who stars in baseball and basketball. Vaughn plans to reach his goals of weight loss with fruits (strawberry shakes, lemon marinated steak), vegetables (baked potatoes, bloomin' onions, salad with Ranch), ending his soda addiction and now utilizing "cheap wings" Tuesdays. Vaughn's goal: carry Wilson to another championship and fit back into that band uniform..........cue up Barry White!

Team #3

Bill Douglas - WMOH Program Director/Voice of Miami Women's Hoops: 6'2", 231 lbs
Joe Geckler - HSGN Sideline Reporter/Color Analyst: 6'2", 230 lbs
Douglas and Geckler are the new additions to the Biggest Loser lineup. Douglas is the WMOH Program Director, the Voice of Miami Lady RedHawk basketball and the famous "Coooooooooooooold Beer!" vendor at Reds games. Bill will be challenged during the first month of the contest with  travel food while with the Lady RedHawks on the road, but his main goal is to be the most fit vendor at Great American Ballpark. After all, the ladies like their beverage and really like it from an Adonis with the voice of Barry White....Geckler patrols the sidelines during the Dr. Pepper HSGN football games as well as providing color analysis during hoop season. Joe will become a new father later this spring and will be challenged to not gain "baby weight" with his wife. Geckler's goal is too, well win the contest. He has laid the smack down and now must put up or shut up! This team is the most evenly matched and could be the favorite to take the crown.

FIRST WEIGH IN: FEBRUARY 12, 2009
Theiss/Bull = 169/258; -1lb; -0.23% (not the greatest start but negative numbers are good)
Wilson/Vaughn = 235/302; -8 lbs;  -1.5%  *WEEK 1 WINNERS*
(historically strong starts are a strength again)
Douglas/Geckler = 232/230; +1 lb;  +0.22%  (Whoops! Wrong way boys. Not a good start for the rookies)

SECOND WEIGH IN: FEBRUARY 19, 2009
Theiss/Bull = 168/262;
+3lb; +0.70% (COME ON RAY! This is the "Biggest LOSER" Contest!)
Wilson/Vaughn = 231/303; -3lb; -0.56%
(Steve's lack of team attitude cost them consecutive winning weeks)
Douglas/Geckler = 230/227; -5lb; -1.08% *WEEK 2 WINNERS* (Rookies come up big!....or down big?)

THIRD WEIGH IN: FEBRUARY 26, 2009
Theiss/Bull = 164/261; -5lb; -1.16% *WEEK 3 WINNERS*
(Theiss had to carry the load to squeak out the win)
Wilson/Vaughn = 228/300; -6lb; -1.12% (Solid week but just not enough for 2nd victory)
Douglas/Geckler = 229/226; -2lb; -0.44% (Back to back losses are always good)

FOURTH WEIGH IN: MARCH 5, 2009
Theiss/Bull = 165/261;
+1; +.24% (Whoops! Someone forgot to "cleanse" before weighing in.)
Wilson/Vaughn = 226/300; -2; -.38% (Another negative number but still just short)
Douglas/Geckler = 229/222; -4; -.90% *WEEK 4 WINNERS*
(Rookies get another victory in a slow moving week)

FIFTH WEIGH IN: MARCH 12, 2009
Theiss/Bull = 167/257; -2; -.47%  *WEEK 5 WINNERS* (Finally Ray carried the team to victory)

Douglas/Geckler = 237/221; +7; +1.12%  (Smells like gamesmanship.....GAME ON!)

SIXTH WEIGH IN: MARCH 19, 2009
Theiss/Bull = 165/253; -6; -1.42%  (Strong week for Team 1, but Team 3's "miraculous" week 5, wins?)
Wilson/Vaughn = 223/300; -3; -.57%  (Back to losing "weighs" but winless for 5th consecutive week)
Douglas/Geckler = 229/219; -10; -2.18%  *WEEK 6 WINNERS*
(Are you kidding? Congressional Hearings?)

SEVENTH WEIGH IN: MARCH 26, 2009
Theiss/Bull = 164/255;  +1;  +.24%  (Here we go again! Road trips are not good on the waistline!)

Wilson/Vaughn = 222/303; +6; +1.15%  (6 consecutive weeks without a win must be demoralizing)
Douglas/Geckler = 229/217; -2; -.45% *WEEK 7 WINNERS*
(Back to back wins! Leaders heading down the stretch)

EIGHTH WEIGH IN: APRIL 2, 2009

Theiss/Bull = 171/252; -2;  -.47%  (Too little too late.....Theiss blew it down the stretch!)

Wilson/Vaughn = 220/302; -1;  -.19%  (Could it be enough for the win?)
Douglas/Geckler = 231/251; -1;  -.22%  (Could this # be enough for the win?)
